Sensor InterfaceTechsense Surface Meteorological Observation System is designed with open architecture allowing any combination of sensors from any manufacturers. Sensors from any brand can be added or replaced easily without major change on any system components. Our solution so far has helped our clients break away from a typical "locked-in" situation commonly associated with implementation of a solution by a manufacturer.
Powered By AQsense
AQsense is our advanced data processing engine. All data acquired from sensor interfaces are converted to a uniform internal format, and tagged with a time-stamp and product ID. Each product can then be passed through one or more calculators that processes the data to derive another product.
Calculators are available for calibrating sensor data, converting data to engineering units and validating data. Our calculators can be used to perform linear transformations, range mapping, counting, range checking and step checking. The AQsense data processing engine also has calculators to aggregate data: arithmetic sums, maximum, minimum, and means. Time span and output frequency are configurable for any period of 1 second or more, allowing running and block aggregates to be generated. Specific calculators allow generation of industry-specific products.
For meteorological stations, we have wind speed and wind direction averaging calculators, as well as calculators to derive Dew Point and Relative Humidity calculators. For Aviation application, we have Runway Visual Range Assessment and Cross Wind calculators. Custom calculators can also be incorporated to suit your project.
Product Generator
Techsense Surface Meteorological Observation System generates standard WMO messages including METAR, SPECi, SYNOP, CLIMAT and others. It is also flexible enough to generate customized products based on customer requirements.
Data Management & Integration
The Surface Meteorological Observation Systems handle all data distribution, storage, retrieval and archiving functions. The features included are:

Techsense Surface Meteorological Observation System displays information in realtime. It can be displayed in the form of analog wind dial, numerical, graphs and charts. Our enterprise level product is bundled with Geographical Information System (GIS) allowing our Customers to view the realtime information on a zoom-able and pan-able map. In addition, our solution also displays equipment and health status.
