The technology platform for AIMS Thor is designed to sit either on a Microsoft Windows Server environment or the more stable and cost effective Linux platform namely, Enterprise Linux As (Advance Server) developed by Red Hat Inc., USA. AIMS Thor solution is the far most advance solution developed under the current leading edge technology J2EE platform, which uses multitiered distributed application model.

The database of the AIMS Thor is supported by Oracle Corp. USA, with OC4J application server as a middle layer. The processing engine is also developed using the latest standards in programming language, namely Java. This is not Operating System dependent thus allowing more flexibility for the engine to extends its capability and integration feasibility with any other third-party system.

Flexible and Comprehensive Reward Issuing

• Customers may receive rewards from multiple reward issuers in the same transaction
• Flexible reward issuing rates determined at individual issuer level
• Expiration of rewards can be set for different types of rewards
• Rewards may be calculated in real time
• Rewards issuing is based on Operator-defined rule sets
• Rewards may be issued at value level as well as SKU level
• Rewards may be triggered by an "event" such as a birthday
• Rewards can be random, generic or targeted

Real Time Redemption Capability

• Thor Transactor™ provides a mechanism for the redemption of rewards in real-time at the point of sale (eg. As part or full payment for goods/services purchased)
• Reward redemption transactions contract the Host to obtain real time authorisation in the same way as a normal financial transaction receives authorisation from the card issuer Host
• This mechanism may also be used for the payment of goods and services using the Virtual Account (or stored value) facility
