METship is a vessel bound AWS (weather sensors, data logger, mast, compass, communication and GPS), built using marine grade material. It provides real time data presentation and data logging capabilities. Communicating directly via satellite links or GPRS (if available), ship meteorological data in coded messages can be sent to remote server by FTP or SMS.

Integrated with external GPS and gyro compass, it offers real true wind calculation and also automatic correction for magnetic and elevation variations. Its built in data validation program ensure only valid data is processed.

The system is flexible to work with different sensors. Data acquired is coded into WMO messages automatically or with user intervention is sent to remote server for further processing.
