It is flexible, modular and packed with features that will help you to achieve realtime data acquisition and control. Most importantly, it comes with native TCP/IP support enabling it to provide telemetry functionalities over the Internet.
AQ4000 is an excellent and ideal data acquisition telemetry system. Designed around an open and modular architecture, the AQ4000 Series supports all the different industry standard data acquisition interfaces. Through its various optional interface components, it is able to support all your data acquisition needs.
RS232 Serial Interface: all AQ4000 Series systems come with built-in serial ports. With an advanced regular-expression based parser, the AQ4000 series is able to parse and collect data from any type of intelligent sensor.
RS485 Serial Interface: The AQ4000 Series also feature and RS485 port, enabling collection of data from sensors connected to common RS485 bus.
Analog interfaces: Voltage and current based sensor interfaces are available.
Digital interfaces: Logic bit-patterns, frequencies and counters are supported through built-in and expansion interface modules.
The AQ4000 Series can also acquire data from another AQ4000 Series unit, allowing for many topologies to suit your requirements.
The AQ4000 Series features AQsense, our advanced data processing engine. All data acquired from sensor interfaces are converted to a uniform internal format, and tagged with a time-stamp and product ID. Each product can then be passed through one or more calculators that processes the data to derive another product.
Calculators are available for calibrating sensor data, converting data to engineering units and validating data. Our calculators can be used to perform linear transformations, range mapping, counting, range checking, and step checking.
The AQsense data processing engine also has calculators to aggregate date: arithmetic sums, maximum, minimum, and means. Time span and output frequency are configurable for any period of 1 second or more, allowing running and block aggregates to be generated. Specific calculators allow generation of industry-specific products.
For meteorological stations, we have wind speed and wind direction averaging calculators, as well as calculators to derive Dew Point or Relative Humidity calculators.
An optional software option adds calculators for use in airport AWOS environments. These calculators allow the determination of Runway Visual Range (RVR), and runway crosswinds. Custom calculators can also be incorporated to suit your project.

Non-volatile flash memory (optional on some model) allows selected products to be stored onto CompactFlash or SD Flash cards. Data frequency can be set for each product, with storage resolutions of 1-second and above being supported.
Data logged to the flash cards are in our documented AQsense format, and can be accessed via any PC with a suitable flash card reader.
The AQ4000 Series features a built-in web server, allowing it to be accessed and managed from any standard web browser, whether locally or remotely via WAN-links.
Normal users can view data in realtime through their web-browsers using our Realtime Display page.
Presentation of data is fully customizable, using text fields, wind dials, and scrolling strip charts. Data is streamed in realtime from the AQ4000 to the web-browser, allowing even 1-second resolution data to be presented.
Historical data may also be queried. The AQ4000 Series is able to output data in HTML, CSV, XML, PDF formats. It can also generate multi-series charts.
All configuration of the AQ4000 Series is performed through the web interface. Settings include station identity, location, sensor interfaces, data processing algorithms, data logging parameters, and local and wide-are communications.
AQ4000 has built-in capability to facilitate 2-way communications between the host and the remote site over the network. This offers unlimited exchange of data between the two sites enabling full data synchronization and hence ensuring no loss of data even in the event of network downtime. AQ4000 can be configured to send data in realtime to multiple hosts if necessary over IP network making it possible for data sharing easily.
